BATHING

Treat your pet to a luxurious bath. Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor – your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, our medicated baths contain soothing agents that stop the itching. Nail trim, anal sac expression and ear cleaning are included.

BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE

Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. We can help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen for the client. In especially complex cases we consult with and sometimes refer to a board-certified veterinary behaviorist.

BIRDS, REPTILES, RABBITS AND SMALL MAMMALS

Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase. With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. Dr. Taylor possesses experience in the care and treatment of exotics.

BOARDING

Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified kennel attendants do the same when you can't be there. We provide tender loving care such as brushing, belly rubs, and cuddling to keep them happy.

Our boarding facility is small in size! All dogs receive two walks a day and a comfortable towel. With the Resort Package, dogs, cats, and even rabbits, receive an extra walk or playtime, a vet approved treat, a daily brushout, and a plush lambswool mat. On rainy days dogs can receive a supervised playtime in our upstairs play space.

Our feline boarding quarters are up front far away from our canine guests. They have views of the lobby and bird feeders through several large windows. At Reynolda Veterinary Hospital, we nurture cats with cat toys, cat treats, lots of TLC, and regularly cleaned litter boxes.

Our dog kennels are checked regularly to make sure each of our guests has a clean and dry mat, kennel space, and fresh water. We feed all our guests high professional grade dog food, unless a special diet is requested. We also nurture our dog guests with treats, if their diet allows.

DAY CARE

Is your pet unhappy or lonely while you're at work? Give your companion the personal attention he or she deserves throughout the day. You can conveniently drop your pet off at the drive-thru on your way to and from work. We offer the same TLC and playtime offered to our longer-term guests. Please call ahead with drop-off and pick-up times.

DENTAL CARE

Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's oral and general health. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Tooth sealants offer extra dental protection. Advanced dental care is available, including extractions and other oral surgery.

FULLY STOCKED PHARMACY
We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field. Call ahead and we will have your refill ready for pickup at our drive-thru.
HOSPICE/EUTHANASIA SERVICES
Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client.

IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE

We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter package; and specialized blood tests for all life stages.

INTERNAL MEDICINE

We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology; Ophthalmology; Neurology; Dermatology; Gastroenterology; Oncology; Endocrinology; among others. In particularly complex cases we consult with board-certified veterinary specialists at several area referral centers.

MICROCHIPPING

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery. We offer a discount on microchip placement while at the time of spay/neutering.

NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING
Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active.

PAIN MANAGEMENT

Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. We match the latest in pain relief protocols with each patient's needs.

RADIOLOGY

Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. We use telemedicine to consult with board-certified veterinary radiologists around the country.

When ultrasound or computed tomography (CAT scan) is indicated, we refer to the local veterinary radiologists and internists at Carolina Veterinary Specialists.

SURGERY

We offer advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: board certified surgeon available for consultation; fully trained veterinary and technical staff to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; heated surgery tables for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques; heart and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive after-surgery care and full blood testing.

In a hurry? Whether your toddler is asleep in the car or you're on your way to a meeting, our drive-thru services are a convenient way to take good care of your pet. We provide drive-thru pick up of prescription medication and nutritional products. Also, we will gladly escort your pet into the building from the covered drive-thru drop-off lane. In order for us to best meet the needs of you and your pet, please call ahead.
